About Health Matters

Thirty years of independent, authoritative healthcare intelligence for Southern Africa’s private health sector.

OUR STORY

Thirty Years of Trusted Healthcare Reporting

Founded in 1994, Health Matters was created to fill a critical gap in the South African healthcare information landscape — the need for independent, reliable, and timely news covering the business of healthcare.

For three decades, we have delivered daily intelligence to the professionals who shape the private healthcare sector: pharmaceutical companies, medical schemes, aid administrators, large employers, private hospital groups, employee benefits advisers, and academic institutions.

Today, with over 120 subscribing companies and more than 2,000 individual recipients, the Health Matters News Service has become an indispensable resource for staying informed in Southern Africa’s dynamic healthcare landscape.
